DVSA have recommended that that Land Rover conduct a voluntary recall to rectify those vehicles with aluminium bolts which could potentially fail. SOURCE: 1998 land rover discovery won't start. I just expiriance the same problems on my rover so i check it out and found that the engine spark fuse was out. I replaced the said fuse and their you go it started. You can find that fuse under the dashboard in the satellite 1 fuse box. it should be the 3rd one from the right.

Re: Discovery 3 starting problems. Unfortunately it's a fault finding process that one has to go through. I't sounds like the battery, start there, doesn't cost you anything to have it tested and you don't have to do anything (don't have to remove anything) If it's not the battery, then remove the starter and have that checked, also not to hard

The instrument cluster on the Discovery 3, also known as the Ipac, holds all the CCF files for the wholw vehicle.
