When the car (an automatic) is engaged in gear (reverse or drive) AT IDLE (foot on brake) the car shakes A LOT. The reason it is noticed in automatics, is that the auto engages the car and we are only holding the brake which means there is torque transmitted to the CV axle and ultimately into the CV joint.

Fuel problem or not ? 1.4 tdi vw polo. what car engine do u have. usualy, you would use 505.01 or 507 if you have a DPF. I'm using fuchs titan gt1 xtl 5w40 at moment. I've got a Polo 1.4TDI (9no) on a 2003 year with an AMF engine mate. VW Polo 1.4TDi problem. I have had my Polo 1.4 TDI (80ps) from new (2006) and it has been properly serviced, although not always by a main dealer. The timing chain which drives the oil pump and balancing shaft has now broken resulting in damage to the tensioning gear.
