Actually it is very recommended to do side quests while heading to the main quest. Side quests allows you to get rewards, nice XP and nice gears. Side quests allows you temporarily to earn XP while you wait until you can fully do the main quests. Many advantage.

I'm using keyboard and mouse - and somehow Bayek starting shooting like 5 arrows at a time which depletes his quiver way too fast. I've read other posts that the key "G" changes arrow types - but that does absolutely nothing for me. There's nothing in the customizable keyboard layout that refers to 'switch arrow type or number'.
